This project was a critical conversion project from a commercial/office setting of a very sophisticated wine-manufacturer to a residential program.
SAVKOM Inc was called upon to perform a feasibility study along with recommendations and budget estimates for elevators. We performed our study and our recommendations with options and budget estimates were accepted. SAVKOM Inc was retained to develop elevator specifications and construction administration. We coordinated with the Architect, Structural Engineer and the MEP Engineer regarding esthetics, structural loads and electrical and BTU calculations. We assisted with the contractor pre-qualification, bidding process, contractor interview and selection, construction administration, acceptance and sign-off.
The elevator component of this project was under budget and completed way ahead of schedule. Furthermore, we were able to save money for the Owner and Construction Manager on change orders and on the elevator cab allowance.
